Fireworks is a collection of small, consumer fireworks fountains with all the fizz, zip, zap, pop, and crackling that you would expect. There are also 2x 6-minute ambience tracks from 4th of July 2014 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as people set off fireworks all around the city. You can hear fairly close, and very distant explosions from both municipal and residential displays. These two tracks were edited down from much longer recordings to remove any long pauses in the action. It was a beautifully quiet night, except for the fireworks!
Fienup used a RODE NT4 microphone and an ElectroVoice RE50b, with a Sound Devices 633 recorder. All files were cleaned up, edited, and mastered in iZotope Rx and Pro Tools Ultimate.
Metadata was embedded using SoundMiner Plus. Metadata includes: Artwork, Filename, Description, Keyworkds, Duration, Sample Rate/Bit Depth, FXName, Category, SubCategory, CatID, Designer, Library, Location, Manufacturer, and Microphone.
This collection uses the Universal Category System in both the file name and the CatID metadata. For more information about the UCS, please visit https://universalcategorysystem.com
